Victims Services is here to help you learn more about victims support and how to apply. The type of support you can get, the information you need to provide and the time limits to apply will depend on your situation. Funds that Revenue NSW collects from fines and fees goes back to the NSW community and funds essential services such as healthcare, education, transport, policing and infrastructure. If you are experiencing financial difficulty and stress, we can refer you to free financial and legal services available to support you with advice.

If you want to dispute your fine

If you do not provide your information, we cannot enrol you in one of our courses. If you do not receive your card within 60 days from lodgement, you will need to contact WorkSafe. Service Tasmania will review the documentation and forward it to WorkSafe for processing. EOT will provide you with the application form and the Statement of Attainment (certificate) upon successful completion of all the course requirements.

You can authorise someone to act on your behalf by completing our online Authority to Act form If you have opted to have your fines sent digitally, your fine would have been sent via email. This will apply to your driver’s license and vehicle registrations. If you move and don’t update your address with Transport for NSW, your fine notice may have been sent to an old address.

Can I apply if I don’t have full Australian Working Rights?

You must be the person named on the fine notice and you’ll need to provide some proof of identification such as your address, date of birth or driver’s licence number. If you’re named on a fine or overdue notice, you can view the digital image of your offence online taken by a speed, red-light, bus lane or mobile phone/seatbelt camera. If you can’t pay your fine in full, you can apply for a payment plan.

You may be eligible to pay off your fine by doing unpaid work, courses or counselling. If you’ve received a fine or overdue fine notice and are having difficulty paying, there are options available to help you. A victims register allows victims of crime the option to stay informed about changes to the status of an offender. Understand what support is available, know your rights and how you can expect to be treated as a victim of crime. It sets out how victims of crime are to be treated and assisted in NSW.

The NCVER does not intend to disclose your personal information to any overseas recipients. The NCVER may also disclose personal information to persons engaged by NCVER to conduct research on NCVER’s behalf.
